You won’t always have to go out or order in to have a pillowy-soft Indian naan bread, just the way you like it. There’s an easy version that helps you make naan at home. All you need is Kenstar’s Karishma food processor and some naan ingredients, which are easily available in your kitchen, to work your magic. There are different types of naan like plain naan, butter naan, butter garlic naan, cheese naan, and many others. But today, we will take a quick look at this easy garlic naan bread recipe using a food processor.

Take two bowls. In one bowl, add the yeast packet to the warm water. In the other bowl, mix the butter, milk, and egg.

Let the bowl of yeast sit for about 10 minutes until it rises.

In the Karishma food processor, use the dough blade attachment. Then add sugar, salt and flour to it and mix well. Simultaneously and slowly, pour in the yeast water to the mixture. Then pour in the butter, milk and egg mixture.

Allow the food processor to mix the ingredients well until it becomes a soft dough-like texture.

Take the dough out from the food processor.

Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and roll into a ball. Take a large bowl, coat it with oil and place the dough in it.

Cover the bowl of dough with a damp kitchen towel, and let it sit for 1 hour in a cool place. It should double in volume.

After an hour, knead the dough slightly which will release some air and shrink it in size a little. Now, mix in the garlic properly.

Divide the dough into golf ball-sized chunks and place on a cutting board. Cover it again with a kitchen towel and allow it to rise for about 30 minutes.

In the meantime, whatever your cooking source is, whether it’s a grill or a stovetop, just preheat it.

After 30 minutes, use a rolling pin to roll out the naan into discs or whatever shape you’d like.

If you're using a grill, brush the grill with a little amount of oil and cook the naan over high heat for at least 2-3 minutes until it starts to become fluffy and dark. Flip the naan and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.

Your pillowy-soft garlic naan is ready to be served! You can grate some cheese and add it on top or just drizzle some butter over it. And go for your favourite accompaniment - butter chicken or paneer butter masala.
