3 Healthy Snack Recipes With Kenstar OxyFryer

Aloo Samosa

Cooking Time: 35 minutes

Temperature: 160 to 180-degree celsius

Preparation Time: 1 Hour

Ingredients to be used:

For wraps:

  • 15 grams (1.5 tablespoons) of desi ghee or refined oil
  • 100 grams of maida
  • Salt to taste
  • Enough water to make a proper dough

For the filling:

  • 4 to 5 boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup of cooked peas
  • Finely chopped ginger
  • 2 to 3 finely chopped green chillies
  • One teaspoon of Cumin seeds
  • Two teaspoons of dry red chillies
  • Two teaspoons of crushed coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dry mango powder
  • 2 to 3 teaspoon of coriander
  • Add salt to taste

Preparation:

For the wraps, sieve maida, add salt and ghee or oil. Mix it well and add enough water to make a dough. Do not pound or squeeze the dough too much and keep it aside for 20 to 30 minutes.

To fill up the preparation, heat little olive oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let it turn brown, add coriander and red chillies and sauté for around thirty seconds. Use a pan to pour in all the dry masala and add 1 to 2 tablespoon of water. Now add the peas and boiled potatoes. Mix it well and add coriander leaves.

Create marble-sized balls of the dough and roll into the form of a chapati. Now cut it into two halves, apply water on the edges and fold it into a cone. Fill the potato mixture and then close it by using some water.

Now, preheat the OxyFryer for five minutes. Arrange the samosas in a fry basket and close it properly. For the desired colour, the OxyFryer must be at 160-degrees for the first 20 minutes and at 180-degrees for the remaining 10 to 15 minutes. Once completed, serve it hot with your favourite chutney.

Spring Rolls

Cooking time: 15 to 20 minutes

Temperature: 180 degrees

Preparation Time: 40 to 45 minutes

Quantity: 6 rolls

Ingredients to be used:

  • 100 grams maida
  • Two tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • Warm water to make a soft dough

For filling:

  • One tablespoon olive oil
  • One shredded onion
  • 2 to 3 finely chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teashop of ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup of shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup of shredded capsicum
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 to 2 teaspoon of soya sauce
  • Veg chowmein

For sealing:

Two tablespoons of maida dissolved in 2 to 3 teaspoon of water

Preparation:

Mix maida, oil, and salt. Add warm water gradually to make a smooth and elastic dough. Next, dip a cloth in water and squeeze it well. Cover the dough with a moist cloth and keep it aside for half an hour. Roll out each part using the dry flour into a big chapati. Now, heat the tawa and place a rolled chapati to cook on a slow flame for 15 to 20 seconds.

For the filling, heat the pan with one tablespoon of olive oil. Then add finely chopped garlic, saute for 30 seconds. Add green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute till the onions develop a shiny colour. Add carrots, cabbages, capsicum and stir it for over a minute.

Take a wrapper and place the filling on one side. Fold the wrapper and seal the edges with a maida paste. Next, brush the rolls with milk and repeat the procedure for every roll.

Preheat the Kenstar home appliance for 5 minutes; then arrange the spring rolls in the fry basket and close it properly. Heat at 180-degrees for 15 to 20 minutes and cut the rolls into equal pieces. Serve with your favourite sauce!

Masala
French Fries

Cooking time: 15 to 20 minutes

Temperature: 180-degree celsius

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Ingredients required:

  • 3 properly peeled potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped coriander

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients needed for marination. Now, boil three cups of water with 1/2 teaspoon of salt; blanch the potato fingers for 3 to 4 minutes, filter and pat dry the potatoes to transfer them into a dry bowl. Pour the mixture and coat the potato fingers.

Next, preheat the OxyFryer for 5 minutes, arrange the potato fingers in a fry basket and close it. Set the OxyFryer at 150-degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. During the last two minutes, sprinkle coriander leaves and once ready, serve it hot with ketchup.
